If you are looking for a new 2D life sim game that combines RPG elements with Farming, Crafting, Smithing, Cooking, Questing and… Romance, then Sun Haven is for you.

What is Sun Haven?

Sun Haven is a Single and Multiplayer Life and Farm Sim RPG that will bring you in a colorful and entartaining 2D world, where you will be able to set up a house and a farm, grow crops, craft dozens of items, cook dozens of recipes, do quests, have relationships with the townsfolk, fight bosses, monsters and dragons and many more.

Is Sun Haven Out of Early Access?

As of 11th March 2023, Sun Haven is out of Early Access. The full release Patch 1.0 is called Museum and Customization.

The patch adds hundreds of new character customization, more pets, The Museum where you can collect items and rewards and many more.

Is Sun Haven on Nintendo Switch?

Currently, Sun Haven is available only on Steam for PC and Mac.

Now let’s talk a little bit about the game.

Starting your character with a race and a profession, Sun Haven will throw you in a beautiful 2D universe and the first thing it will request from you is to settle in and place your house.

Depending on the race and the profession you have selected at the beginning of the game, you will start with a specific perk and some helpful resources like coins, a cooking bench, bonus movement speed, bonus mana or a chicken!

First things you will do is to start an introductory quest called Show your Skills and you’ll need to plant and water some wheat seeds and gather 10 logs.

This way you’ll learn about the basics of Sun Haven.

Next, you’ll be guided by the main quest to explore the town of Sun Haven.

Here, you will find important and key places like the General Store, the Farming Shop, the Fishing Store, the Library and many more.

You will also be able to meet several NPCs which will be able to assign some important quests to you and/or build relationships, even romance.

By exploring Sun Haven, you will also gain Exploration skill points.

Skill points are important in this game and you will have to level up your skills (mining, fishing, combat etc.) by actively doing these activities or by completing quests.

Coins are key, as you expand your business and skills, you will be able to gain wealth and use the coins for new maps, thus, unlocking new areas of the world, thus more NPC encounters, combat opportunities, events and, of course, quests.

Sun Haven has an interesting immersive atmosphere with beautiful 2D design, a calm and warm soundtrack and the way the NPCs interact with you makes Sun Haven world feel very alive.
